Power Connection
Colectric's Public Power Connection is an online supplier portal and eMarketplace that automates Colectric’s catalog creation process, assists in the administration of Colectric Master Purchase Agreements and provides members with catalog search and electronic ordering capabilities.
Colectric’s Master Purchase Agreements cover over a million line items, many of which carry utility stock codes and need to be loaded in members purchasing and inventory systems for inventory management and automated ordering. In order to administer the Master Purchase Agreements with that many line items and assist members in managing the data in their purchasing systems, Colectric manages an electronic catalog and supplier portal called Public Power Connections eMarketplace.
Through the supplier portal, the suppliers in a highly managed environment assist in the creation and management of electronic catalogs for their items. The management functionality of the supplier portal assists Colectric in analyzing data, including pricing, associated with the agreements, and after approval automatically provides that data to its members in a format for loading into their procurement systems.
